Welcome and thank you for dropping by my website. Photography became a passion of mine when I became a mother. I took on photography as a hobby six years before I branded my business. I am passionate about photography because life is so short and very unpredictable; being able to capture beautiful memories that last a lifetime is what this is all about for me! The one resource that never discriminates is time. Everyone has the same number of seconds in a minute, minutes in an hour, hours in a day, and so on. Capturing a moment that we can never get back is invaluable to me; the moments that cannot be slowed or paused are frozen in time through photographs! How cool is that? Oh yeah… a bit more about me outside of my dream career… I am a mother to three beautiful children and I’m married to a man that makes my life feel like something out of a romance novel. My husband is a goofball, but he’s my goofball! I am a pretty upbeat, laid back, and bubbly spirit. Life is absolutely beautiful and amazing and that is why I’m so passionate about what I do. Why “Vivace”? I’ve had many people ask me why I chose the name Vivace Photography and there are actually a couple reasons. The first is that I feel the meaning of the word aligns very closely with my personality, which is “lively” and “vivid”. The second is that it is a musical term used to describe music that is upbeat and lively! One thing I have found is many people don’t know how to pronounce it as it is an Italian word, it is pronounced “viv-ah-chee”.
I do every genre of photography that you can think of (including special requests) but I specialize in couple, senior and boudoir portraits. I am absolutely in love with following love stories and capturing that love through my work. Boudoir became a favorite genre of mine when I saw the confidence it brought to women. As someone that has always struggled with her own body image, nothing brings me more joy than being able to help show other women just how beautiful they are (exactly as they are!). Hearing how comfortable women felt around me after their boudoir session always puts a smile on my face because their comfortability is what makes the images authentic and real. Boudoir work has a special place in my heart because of the personal connections I am able to make with my clients working in this more intimate, one on one setting. I adore working with seniors and capturing their personality and hobbies through images that’ll be cherished for a lifetime!
Being able to capture raw emotion and authentic personalities through my images is what keeps me so passionate about what I do.

Natural light will always be my first love but I have also branched out and opened up a studio downtown La Crosse, Wisconsin! I try hard to be able to work with any budget while still valuing all of the time, money, effort and soul that I pour into my work; this is why I have created the option to do a pre-payment arrangement for anyone that cannot afford a package upfront! I do a lot of give-aways on social media, as well as many promos and mini sessions throughout the year.
